DTV and procrastination

After not upgrading my tv or getting one of those digital tuner boxes for it I'm trying to ween myself from watching tv and get into living life more.

Things like going to the rodeo and taking pictures, you know normal life instead of just sitting and watching. See I think procrastination pays. You don't have to rush into everything everyone else is doing all the time. Sitting back and picking your options, making the best out of your situation is what procrastination is all about.

You know take time and smell the roses. Which is something I intend to do more of. Oh sure I spend a little more time online than is probably healthy. But I figure surfing for stuff that I find interesting has got to be loads better than just sitting on my couch waiting for whatever
programming some 12 year old network executive thinks is good.

Sites like Hulu.com, the BBC and PBS online allow me to look for stuff I like and not have to worry about needing to keep up with recording so that I can watch it at my leisure.

Yes procrastination I think will pay off for me in the case of not upgrading my tv. I hope it does for you too to those out there who chose to do the same.

Mad, Mad Times

We are living in a time I think that will be looked back at the same way we see the 60's today.
We are on the cusp of civil unrest in the US. There has been a culture war brewing since the end of the Reagan administration that I believe we are going to start seeing come to a head.

You have the Balkanization of the country being allowed at alarming rates for the past 20 years.
Our current president is nothing short of a Marxist and we have N. Korea declaring they will weaponize their plutonium.

But with great unrest comes great advances. What will it be?
